WHOOAAA! Thats the realness! Put my thoughts into words so brutally. We all know cats like that, and we all roll our eyes when they come thru. Too bad they ain’t hearin nobody but their idols lil wayne and em (not that he ain’t real but I think he’s stopped growing and maturing) so they probably won’t read this. no on the serious, I think it comes from a insecure mentality. They want to sound tough in this era of mainstream rap which is currently enamoured with the gangsta rap and all the lyrical cliches that go with it (e,g, gats, the notorious ‘3 B’s : blunts, b*****es and bling )and unfortunately that is what sells, or it seems to sell. It’s like a resume they announce every time they play a song, whether it’s true or not, it’s their credentials they hope will get them a spot to play in the game, the big leagues
The anger that’s in their words isn’t even misdirected, it’s channeled into the wrong dimension. Selfishness.
It’s sad, there’s all this bravado and bullish threats and what’s behind it? saying what the next person says so that just makes them a carbon copy no originality, no creativity,

Well K…the answer is simple.
Talent is an endangered species. Whether its Hip Hop or R&B, shit even Country Music. People would rather follow the “formula” then to create something new and different. People are hungry, and willing to sell their soul to the devil just for a little success.
Its gonna take small movements to change things. People who don’t care about following the trend, but instead care about making music from their heart. And because the people are hungry for something different, they will eat it up. Then the industry will take notice….
And try to copy it…and make that the NEW formula.
